A new hotel in LA’s Koreatown is betting that sparkling-clean facilities and attentive service can set it apart in a neighborhood known for aging accommodations.
Kins Hotel, which recently opened in the heart of Koreatown, is capitalizing on what many longtime area hotels lack: a brand-new building. “Most Koreatown hotels are in older structures, but we’re starting fresh,” said CFO Claudia Kye. “Cleanliness and service quality are our top priorities.”
Standard rooms are priced at $180–220 per night this October, with suites running higher. A grand opening special starts at $197 per night and includes valet parking, snacks, and drinks.
With next year’s World Cup and other major events approaching, management is considering a shuttle service to nearby attractions.
“Every room has a proper work desk, we have a printer room on the third floor, and you can walk to all the best Korean restaurants,” Kye said. “We built this hotel with both business travelers and tourists in mind.”
General Manager Kevin Choi said promotional deals will run through the end of the year, including email promo codes and free valet parking.
While the hotel does not offer self-parking, only valet parking is available, promotional credits help cover the cost for many guests, keeping complaints to a minimum.
Once the second-floor bar opens, the hotel plans to roll out breakfast service and additional promotions.
