Police detained one person at 1135 S. Pacific Ave. in San Pedro at 7:56 p.m. Tuesday, according to a Citizen app report. The scene was seen as active, with multiple officers responding and the area reportedly secured by police.
Officers were detaining and questioning the person at the scene as they worked to determine whether the case was tied to a vehicle-related illegal incident. A video recorded by a nearby resident showed several police officers at the location.
It was not immediately clear whether the person was formally arrested, and authorities had not confirmed whether anyone was injured. Additional personnel were also sent to support the response.
San Pedro is a harbor-area community in Los Angeles that includes a large residential and commercial district near the Port of Los Angeles. The investigation remains ongoing.
