A crash on the 405 Freeway in Long Beach led to a vehicle fire early Saturday, disrupting traffic in the area near Alameda Street. The incident was reported at 4:03 a.m., and officials said the fire started after the collision.
Fire crews were dispatched to the scene and were working to extinguish the flames, according to the report. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Carson station was also controlling the scene.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash and whether anyone was injured. They said the cleanup and fire suppression work could affect traffic on that stretch of the 405 Freeway.
Drivers in the area were advised to use alternate routes while crews continued their response.
