At least three people were killed and two others were injured in a shooting Saturday afternoon at an In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls, Idaho, authorities said.[1][2]
Twin Falls police received reports of an active shooter around 2:23 p.m. at the restaurant inside a shopping center, according to local officials and media reports.[1][4] Police Chief Matthew Hicks said at an evening news conference that the threat to the community had ended, but he said the scene was chaotic and the exact number of casualties was still under investigation.[2][4]
Authorities said the shooter was among the dead.[2][3] Police also closed nearby roads and the Perrine Memorial Bridge as the investigation continued.[1][2]
In-N-Out Burger Chief Operating Officer Denny Warnick said in a statement that the company was praying for customers, employees and their families and would fully cooperate with investigators.[3] The restaurant had opened last month as part of the company’s recent expansion.[3]
