A suspect was detained early Sunday after a police pursuit ended in South Los Angeles, according to reports from the scene. The arrest happened at about 3:56 a.m. at 715 W. 47th St. in the 77th Street Division area.
Los Angeles Police Department officers from the 77th Street station chased the suspect and then sealed off the area, carrying out a coordinated search. The suspect ran into the neighborhood around the address before officers surrounded the scene and moved in to make the arrest.
Police said the suspect was taken into custody at the scene. After the arrest, officers began lifting the containment area and clearing the location.
No further details about the suspect or the reason for the pursuit were immediately released.
