Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong attended the Allen & Co. Sun Valley Media and Technology Conference, which was held July 7-11 at the Sun Valley Resort in Idaho. Reuters photos showed Lee alongside Kimberly Query, chair and CEO of Gulf Shore Private Capital, at the event on July 10.
Founded in 1983, the invitation-only conference is often called the “summer camp for billionaires.” It is run in strict secrecy, with no public agenda and no official attendee list released in advance.
The annual gathering brings together major figures from technology, media and finance, including leaders such as Apple’s Tim Cook, Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, Alphabet’s Sundar Pichai, OpenAI’s Sam Altman and Amazon’s Jeff Bezos. The conference is widely known as a place where attendees discuss business partnerships and mergers and acquisitions.
Lee’s appearance at the conference underscores Samsung’s continued engagement with global tech and business leaders at one of the industry’s most exclusive networking events.
