Authorities detained a man carrying a gun near the intersection of East 95th Street and Juniper Street in South Los Angeles around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, according to the report. Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies from the Century Station responded to the area and quickly took action after spotting the armed man.
Officials confirmed there was no shooting in the area. The suspect is now in custody, and deputies said the scene was brought fully under control.
The incident took place in the 90002 ZIP code, an area in south Los Angeles County. The department continued to check whether there were any additional threats after securing the scene.
