Korean food and culture will take center stage in Irvine this summer as HiteJinro joins Chimac Fest 2026 as the event’s main sponsor. The three-day festival will be held Aug. 14-16 at Great Park Live in Irvine.
Now in its second year, Chimac Fest brings together Korean chicken, beer, soju and a variety of Korean dishes in one place. Organizers say last year’s inaugural event drew about 15,000 visitors, and this year’s turnout is expected to reach about 30,000.
As the main sponsor, HiteJinro will showcase its Terra beer brand, Chamisul soju and a range of fruit-flavored soju products to local residents and visitors. The JINRO booth will also feature free soju tastings, beer pong, a fruit-soju flavor guessing game, arcade-style claw machine events, giveaways and an appearance by the company’s frog mascot, Jino.
The festival will also offer hands-on Korean cultural experiences, including traditional games such as ttakji and jegichagi, along with K-pop cover dance performances. In the evening, the event will shift into an outdoor music festival with DJs including Soda and Kwon Yeon-su, adding to the party atmosphere.
