Hoag Opens Irvine Sun Family Campus, Expanding Specialty Care in Orange County

Hoag has opened its Irvine Sun Family Campus, a major expansion that brings specialty hospital care, outpatient services, advanced surgery and clinical programs together in one integrated location in Irvine. The project is designed as a “healthcare village” that centralizes care in cancer, women’s health, digestive health and surgery.

The campus is made up of six buildings and is intended to expand access to advanced medical services for Orange County residents. Hoag said the new campus reflects its effort to keep growing with the region while setting a new standard for care.

Hoag Hospital Irvine first opened in 2010 and extended Hoag’s hospital-based care into one of Orange County’s fastest-growing areas. Since then, the health system has continued to expand alongside the community.

Hoag Chairman and CEO Robert T. Braithwaite said the expansion is more than a collection of new buildings and represents the organization’s commitment to growing with Orange County. He said the campus was planned to make the patient experience more connected, convenient and personalized.
