Claims are now open in Apple’s $250 million settlement over allegations that the company overstated unreleased Siri AI features in advertising. The case stems from claims that buyers were led to expect capabilities that were not available when the phones were sold.
Eligible devices include all iPhone 16 models and the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max purchased between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. To qualify, claimants must be the original owner who bought the phone for personal use. The claim window runs from Sept. 21 through Dec. 21 on the settlement website.
The expected payout is about $25 per device, though the amount could rise to as much as $95 depending on the number of valid claims filed. Apple said it agreed to settle to end the litigation and focus on delivering its products and services.
A final approval hearing is scheduled for Feb. 24, 2027. Only after that hearing will the court decide whether to give the settlement final approval.
