Disputed Claims: Did Kim Soo Hyun’s Agency Send Legal Threat After Kim Sae Ron’s ‘Save Me’ Text?
Recent reports have revealed conflicting accounts regarding whether late actress Kim Sae Ron received a second legal notice from Kim Soo Hyun’s agency after sending him a desperate “please save me” text message during her financial crisis.
According to attorney Boo Ji-seok, representing Kim Sae Ron’s family, the deceased actress reached out directly to Kim Soo Hyun for help after receiving an initial legal notice. Instead of assistance, the attorney claims, she received a second legal notice from the agency.
During a March 17 press conference, the attorney stated this second notice demanded immediate debt repayment, prohibited Kim Sae Ron from contacting Kim Soo Hyun or any agency actors, and threatened legal consequences if she shared photos with Kim Soo Hyun on social media. The notice allegedly contained an additional threat that if her actions caused damage to Kim Soo Hyun’s drama “Queen of Tears,” she would be “liable for full compensation.”
However, Kim Soo Hyun’s agency Gold Medalist has firmly refuted these claims. The agency released the full text of the notice, insisting they never demanded compensation for damages to any production, nor did they threaten legal action regarding social media posts or contact with agency actors. They categorically denied seeking any financial compensation from Kim Sae Ron.
This dispute emerges amid ongoing legal developments, as Kim Sae Ron’s family has filed a defamation lawsuit against YouTuber Lee Jin-ho for allegedly spreading false information about the deceased actress. The family has also indicated they are considering legal action against Kim Soo Hyun.
The contradictory accounts from both parties highlight the complex and contentious nature of this case. While Kim Sae Ron’s family maintains she received threatening legal notices after seeking help, Kim Soo Hyun’s agency presents a different version of events.
